Ten Pin Bowling

For a while I've tried to make a get2gether with all the exchange students.. so decided today... it kinda failed badly but at least I met up with my 2 lovely girls Sara and Yumi :)

We met up in Blacktown where we looked around in the shops for a bit and then went Ten Pin Bowling ! It was funny, Yumi definitely a hidden talent! She beat us up badly in the first round hah ha Sara and I were terrible !
But out of a sudden I found my talent in the end of round one! And I only lost to Yumi by a few points in the last round haha proud as!

Let's go golfing

29-03-2011

Second day of school with exams.. well I went to the office to hand in all the raffle tickets i've sold for the artfest when mr Boofy (my year advicer) came over: 'Julie are you doing the exams?' -yes you told me to 'No I told you to negociate with your teachers about it' -No you didn't that's what you told Marcus, not me. 'Oh I'm so sorry, think I just had a bad day, well go and talk to your teachers about it, I dont think you have to do them' grrr I did and YES i got out of all my exams HAHA! HOLIDAYS! but first I decided to do the maths exam just for fun, so I did.. but still so typical, it always happens to me haha

anyhow after school Yvonne and Warwick picked me up. We went straight to the golfcourse :)
I started out pretty good actually but it was hot, so I got tired real quick and my gold became less impressive ha ha half way the 9 wholes, we had a picnic break :) with cake, nuts, juice, eastereggs and water ! yummy it was so lovely just to sit in the shade eating :P I layed down and look up at the most perfect blue sky, and just enjoyed the moment when..... Warwick started splashing water on me hahah, so we had a waterfight which was nice, just to cool down for a bit :)

The last wholes went quick and soon we were at the 19th whole - the clubhouse, where we got a little drink, enjoying good company and an amazing view!
Can't belive how fast time goes, I mean when we headed home it was already 6 o'clock, my feet were a bit sore, a lot of walking on that golf course today haha ;)

Casual weekend with smelly fingers

As the headline refers to this weekend has been rather casual (: I've been runing around in tackers all weekend just for the fun of it.

Saturday morning Bronwyn picked me up 8.45 and off we went to the Blue Gum market where I helped out at the rotary BBQ. I cut sausages etc. and my fingers were So awful smelly when I finished! No matter how many times I washed them, the smell wouldnt really disappear ha ha eeeww..
11.30 Margareth and Pat gave me a lift to springwood station. So I catched a train to Penrith where I went for a little wonder, getting some stuff for my Safari etc. and I ran into my love Sommerfugl -who was sitting in the comfy chairs in the plaza waiting for her mum. So we just sat talking for a while before I headed home again. In springwood Lucy and Kieren came to pick me up while Brian was in the supermarket! Funny as, first thing Kieren said was: There was a random guy at our house today asking for you, I dont know who he is.....

I was so curious but I couldnt get much out of my dear brother haha! Later that evening I found out that it was the awesome coolman (Andrew) who had turned up at my place.

Therefore he came over sunday to say hi -when I was actually home :) We played piano with Juicy Lucy and he played a bit of guitar before we headed for the cinema. First Glenbrook.. No good movies on.. Then Richmond... No good movies on... so Penrith!! We watched Red Riding Hood :) a rather disappointing movie im afraid. But grandma such big eyes you have. Grandma such big ears you've got, Oh grandma such big teeth.... gaaaah

Anyhow it was a nice day in company with mr coolman, but early night -exams 8.55 monday morning -.-

Another week has gone past!

It's friday finally. The last prober school day for hmm let me see 7 weeks?! The 2 weeks coming up HSC-trails are on and then 2 weeks of easterholiday + Campricorn ramble, well Im not complaining.

This week has been rather normal. As mentioned before things are a bit boring at school, everybody is working hard and you dont want to ruin their results by disturbing them .
I asked my year adviser Mr Boofy if I had  to do the exams, unfortuneatly the answer was; yes...
I dont get It I mean it is fair enough, I have to do them but it should be the same for all the exchangestudents -the others don't as far as Im aware of.

But Ill stop complaining and instead be proud of being in our maths test ! -Yes you heard right. The applied maths test is written by our teacher and he put all our names in the questions, Iam in 3 of them, awesome right ? ;)

Today in Maths Adam taught me something new; The australian dollar sign looks like this $ -a S with one | in where the amercian dollar sign is a S with two || in! I really feel heaps smart now ha ha. I've been writig it with two || through my whole maths book and first now I realised. The funny thing is that not even Mandy nor Andrea new about it, so I really do feel quite smart, let's just hope it is true!
And then to foodtech, every second week we cook. Today we made Apricot, carrot and pinapple jam. Emma, Andrea and I were amazing! It is what it call succes ad tasty yummy :P

The lovely Andrea gave me a lift home as well, cause my mummy is going away for the weekend on some Quilt camp. Anyhow home early equals alone time so I went for a loooong walk with my puppy dog Albert! He was so good, no pulling and no running away! :)

____

During the week Rotary has been on. Uncle Owen and Auntie Donna has stayed overnight and I've been rugby traning in Lunch at school.

To people at home: 106 days left! -Before Im back inside the Danish borders.
Capricorn Ramble: 23 days left!

AND TO MUM<3 Happy Birthday/Tillykke med fødselsdagen! I miss you heaps, but hope you'll have an amazing day! Ill be thinking of you and Im sending a huge hug your way Ily<3<3

Sleep is a lovely thing

Last day! Nobody felt like getting up at 6.30...
Anyhow my rotary club: Springwood had arranged a BBQ for us for breakfast! As the first one I went over there and got breaky as the first as well -yummy :)

Slowly the other part of my country-mix joined me! After breaky and packing our rooms up we drove to the conference center. We had a great deal of time doing nothing so we went to the park in the mittle of Bathurst playing Freespee (right spelling??) anyhow and had a little nap on the grass as well, while the bells from the bell tower in the park was playing.

Back to at the conference center a brunch had been prepared for all of us! After eating it was time to get cracking. I had decided to drive home with Bronwyn to keep her company. We went to Bathurst shopping center and had a coffee with Ivan, Margareth, Maureen and David which was lovely. I was so tired in the car home, the weather changed completely: Very sad and rainy!

Finally home -sleep was a well deserved and lovely thing after an amazing weekend with my crew! So much more excited for our safari! <3

Rock N Roll

19-03-11
At 6.00am we had a whole new day ahead of us! We were all heaps tired after yesterday but so excited to be with eachother that it didnt matter!
We got ready, had breakfast etc. and then drove to the conference. We where the first ones there, cause we had to practice for our flagcermoni! Which was quite fun! BUT I lost a special THING from my rotary jacket, and couldnt find it (Sara found it in one of the rotarians cars the next day but) Anyhow we waited in greenroom and then it became the real deal!

Amazing walking in one by one to our national anthem with our flag, and the pass it on to a rotarian :) afterwards we went down to set up our presentation about our country in the house of friendship!
It didnt take long and we had some spare time so we all went to have a coffee on a nice café in Bathurst. Just chilling, having fun and taking photos.
When we came back to the conference center we had to be near our presentation so we could answer questions etc. as Per and I called it : Represent! :)

Again we went out to make time go faster! We had vouchers for free ice-cream ! -We couldnt let that oppotunity go pass us! And then time for Luch at the conference center!

After lunch we went back to our room and got changed into practical clothes! Where we stayed was right next to a gold mine museum -we got showed around and tried to pan our own REAL gold! -yes i did get some... but ... it was rather gold dust! ha ha

I was a good experience, the boys help our guide with some smith work and it resulted in 2 hooks or what you call them -henni and I used them too hook up, and pinch people :)

It became time to go and get changed for our rock n roll party which would be on in the night at the conference center with all the 300-400 rotarians that participated!

All our costumes were AMAZING and heaps of photos got taken! At the conference live band was playing we had dinner -which I wasnt a big fan of and in between the courses people were dancing -inclusive me! INDEED a real dancing queen ha ha : The fishing line, The Lasso, Half swimmer, diving, cleaning windows, driving etc. yes I had all the dance moves ready! Everybody were in a fantastic move and we all danced! It became so hot ! At one stage Bronwyn gave me a real AIRguitar! and I ended up on stage in front of the whole crowd playing it with Frenzy! We had a Ball!!!

It was a long but funny night and slowly people started heading back to their rooms. The dancing stopped and I sat down for a break when Paul, Henni and Lotta made me believe that we had to walk back!!! I was terrified it was dark and a few Km away! NO WAY! Luckily Shireen came and said the bus had arrived -well I felt a bit blonde ! :S ha ha

At 2am it was time for bed so we all would be ready for our last conference day!

Bathurst

Today I am going to the rotary distric conference in Bathurst. Ill be back on sunday to tell about my adventures.

Whole morning I have been packing for the weekend inclusive my rockn roll costume! I am so excited to see all my exchange friends <3 And good news as well! I have been talking to Caique and Mille all morning! I miss both of then so so unbelieveable much! xoxo

I arrived around 16.30-17.00 Together with Ivan and Margareth. We went to our rooms (I slept in same room with the exchangers) afterwards we checked in at the conference, and had a coffee at a nearby café. Untill then I had not seen any of my beloved exchange mates. We went back to our rooms where we where for a short while before we went AGAIN to the conference in the mittle of Bathurst!

This time I found Henni, Lotta and Paul and soon after the whole group was gathered. We went to see the conference opening show which in the end became quite 'boring' . .  I dont reckon prostate cancer was that important to us girls nor our age group. Anyhow we had dinner and just catched up all of us which was nice.

When we came back to our rooms we went outside to talk a bit with the boys and eat chocolate! (we stayed in seperate rooms of course) ha ha anyhow we had Robert and Giomarco who had won this award or something last year, so they stayed in the exchange camp -they were our age.

It got late, and after a shower even later!

Drama fail and golfballs

My life is pretty normal these days. I mean not norman -it has never been, but not much is happening, especially not at school. Everybody is studying for the HSC and the exams that will find place from the 28th of March untill the easterholidays. But anyhow Today we had our drama performance essay, and as some people might know -I AM TERRIBLE AT DRAMA ..
I mean I forget lines, I start playing the wrong scene, or get confused if any of the others forget their lines and I have to 'save' the situation and just continue.. well all mentioned happened today! I cant help laughing a bit, it is so much like me to do all this. But then Im like AWKWARD!! My group are serious cause it counts towards their final results in the end of the year! Anyhow we got through it -another disaster was performed and of course my whole class is outstading :)

After school Wassa (1st hostdad) Picked me up! Time to do something about my amazing golf talent or?? The first 2 wholes we played I kept missing the ball - disaster! and then suddenly I got the hang of it ! and beated my poor daddy (of course with a handicap of 4..) -but still heaps proud!
At whole no. 7 it started pooring! Everything was wet within 2 minutes and we had to interupt the game when it started lightening! With my holding the umbrella and wassa the golf 'trollies' we hurried back to the car!

I went home to foster street and had lovely dinner with everything! :) Wassa, Yvonne, Jean and little keeden.
He has become a real blondie and he walks now! So amazing -time goes too fast :o
I dont know why but I always get insanely talkactive when Im in company with these lovely people<3 I saw photos from the girls Bali trip etc.

What can I say? Im so lucky! I got 3 amazing families at the moment with one more hopefully to come!

A slow day

13-03-11

After the Irish party I slept in. Woke up and heard all the girls in the kitchen with their boyfriends. I had a nice breakfast Katrina made: Egg and Bacon hahah! and yer we just sat talking, watched the end of a movie and got some photo from last night organised. Around 2.30 they drove me to Strathfield train station and I thought well this is easy ill just catch a train home as always. but no! Because of trail work I arrived home around 6pm... great.. first a very full bus to parramatta, then waiting for an hour, then a train to Penrith ... waiting 30min and then a train full of screaming kids and football fans to springwood. I WAS EXHAUSTED.. when I got off at springwood an elderly man smiled at me and asked : did you have a nice day? well im afraid my answer wasnt that positive..

A slow day -I dislike public transport haha

St. Pats Green Party

12-03-11
Katrina picked me up at sutherland around 5pm and we drove to her place where we started getting changed into our green outfit and as always with 5 girls or more running in and out the bathroom :)
Pam Katrinas mum had thrown an irish st Patrick party for family and friends -this could only be fun!
Around 5.30pm It knocked on the door -Pam was like 'Julie open it, its granny' -so I did but... haha a guy stood in the door instead but luckily granny was behind him! I was so excited finally to meet her.
More people arrived and talking, snacks and Katrina and I dancing filled up the garden :)
Well Kat and I are amazing dancers and we had to refresh our dinosaur dance in the kitchen + our new move THE PIZZA DANCE! Later on the dance floor came and we danced even more crazy after that I was exhausted and fell asleep on her bed around 1am -it was a good party tho :)

Luna Park

12-03-11

On wednesday, Kim got Brirthday, so saturday we went to Lunapark for a little celebration we where a group of her brothers, girls from school and a few other friends. We catched the train and half bus -because of trail work -.- but anyhow around 11am we reached our destination!

Me and Andi<3

As always Lunapark is great fun! We tried everything possible to try and the boys won HUGE! dices in a basketball game thing. So the rest of the day everybody almost ran around with a massive coloured dice.
Andi and I tried the wild mouse together and we just had to buy the photo with a big grin on both of our faces :) haha

From left: Andrea, Mandy, Me, Sophie, Kim and Lauren :)
I left Luna park around 4pm with a few others but Catched the train to sutherland instead of home. I was going for a little visit at Katrinas<3

Drama

Tonight Im going to Springwood High to watch a drama performance togehter with my drama teacher and some students. I am cluesless what the play is about, I reckon its only some monologues but well Ill write about that later :)

So I went to see the play, and I found out what It was about: 4 Women telling about their experiences during the vietnam war! It was a fantastic play, the actors were quite young but really good, in the play was a housewife, a nurse, a journalist, a volunteer and a singer/performer. They all had completely different stories to tell but all of them were touching. Worth It -my opinion

06.03.11 Goodbye Milton

Woke up in a freezing cabin! My bed was very noisy everytime I moved so was afraid to wake the others up. Anyhow we all slept in. After Breaky I went to Mel's place and picked him up. We drove to the 'beach' and went for a little walk. Again the day started out cold so the mix of clothes was rather hilarious -on the photo together with my little sis Lucy<3

In australia the spiders are quite bigger than home. But in not THAT afraid of them aymore and like taking photos of them in their spiderweb -it looks nice.

The trees in the water is just absolutely beautiful! -also known as Mangroes. (right spelling??)

afterwards we went back to Mels place and I Borrowed the horse 'BOB' I went for a little ride by myseld but had no clue where I was going, cause I didnt know the roads in the area. Well at least the horse was nice and not very jumpy like my spirit at home can be from time to time.
I noticed I have become a softie in the while I havent been near horses, my fingers got heaps of blisters. . :O
Anyhow when I came back the other guys had made a lovely BBQ lunch! We sat and Enjoyed it but straight afterward we packed the car and headed for home.

On our way home we stopped at a little town called Berry! There was a lollies shop where they sold salt Liqourice and Daim Chokolate. I got some Liqourice, the funny thing is that aussie dont like the salty one so I got to eat all of them myself :) yummy yummy !
And then home, after an awesome and eventful weekend. Home to see if Kieren had ruined the whole house? (Just kidding haha)

Milton

05-03-11
My loved hostfamily took me to Milton for  the weekend, down the coast, where they have some friends (Mel and Ross). It startet 6am saturday morning and some hours of driving -I was sleeping. We went straight to the Milton show, which is a little country show held every year, with some horses, cows, sheeps, goats and dogs + rollercosters etc.

Mel was supposed to enter a jumping competition so we waited and watched the horses jump. It was freezing so my clothes combination was a bit uhhmmm what you call it? MIXED ha ha

Unfortuneatly Mels horse was a bit sore so he didnt enter the competition. Instead we went around to watch the different things that was on.
Who can cut over a treetrunk the fastest with an ax? to mention just one of the things on :)
It was quite funny to watch, Have never seen aything like it my whole life.
and the surprising thing was that most of the men in the competition was elderly -i reckon

Of course my lovely little sis Lucy wanted a ride on this thing :)
It was fun like flying! I look massive tho with my clothing mix -it's Mels riding jacket Im wearing
After seeing most of the things on the market it was time to go 'home' Mel had 2 horses at the show and he had to ride them home so I got 'BOB' the red horse. I havent been riding for now 8  months so it was quite exciting! He was a nice horse tho and I havent forgot yet. Kinda awkward riding with tight jeans -I was afraid they would break.
We had rented a little camping in a caravan park just right next to Mels place. We had dinner at their place and in the night, me , Brian, Anni and Mel went to the show ground to watch the Rodeo!!
I've never seen it 'live' before, and I just dont get why people put their lives in danger like that.
But still it was rather entertaining.  :)

March

First week of March has gone by! It is fall now, and I must say I felt it to a certain degree. Woke up the other night freezing, the good thing is that it heats up during the day. Most trees doesnt loose their leaves in winter, it doesnt get as dark as in Denmark, and I reckon less rainy/windy weather as well. -So that's all good.
Things are the same at school but I have good friends and little to do in class, so Im not complaining at all. Emma and I have heaps of fun, Im sp happy I got such an amazing chick by my side. Today, Em, Savannah and I went to Penrith to buy costumes for a birthday party the 2 of them are going to. It was eventful I must say without mentioning too much: Boost and Random guys and Leopard :)
We were supposed to go to youth group but that kinda failed. I mean I wanted to go, but Luke is on holidays so we wouldnt know ANYbody there. . not that it matter to me cause I dont even know Luke aha!

So this weekend the Mardi Gras 2011 is on in Sydney. It is a massive gayparade where heaps of people dress up -like a carnival I would say and just party on the street! A few friends from school are going and I really wanted to join in but Im going to the Milton show with my lovely family. atm we are leaving tomorrow morning at 6am so a long day ahead of me. Im sure itll be great!!

Besides that Im working on my Rock n Roll outfit for the conference in Bathurst in a few weeks. It's really hard to find a costume but hopefully my lovely Savannah can help me with that. Im working on a danish presentation thing as well, it is really good I reckon but still a while before it ll be finished. Im planning to have a danish dinner night for my family in near future as well I want to cook them Duck with Brown Potatoes, gravy and Risalamande for dessert -something like that. But as most people know, Im not the most splendid cook in the world so this as well is gonna be a challenge.

In the week just gone past I got started on a little project of mine. I want to learn how to sew patchwork ! So I got started. My mummy is heaps good at it and helps, but I hope the end result will be good and that I ll actually finish before Im off to my last hostfamily. Anyhow we'll see how that goes.

Good night and Bye for know :)
Love you all
