Halloween

Muhahahahah...
It is halloween today (Anita's b-day as well)
And I've been spending my whole day with Andrew the coolman in Sydney.
We went fishing or rather for a very short while, cause I'm rather impatient... lol
Then walked around the opera-house, the Botanique garden and ended up in this park lying on the grass taking funny photos haha!
Really nice relaxing day, and I learn something new!
When there is a storm warning, it doenst mean it is getting cold but heaps HOT instead!! I was dying in jeans, very uncomfi ! I learned how to fish as well and that Im a very spoiled girl!!

This morning my hostmummy said to me: Julie would you be interested in getting a habour-bridge walk with Caique as a christmas present from me?
Hell yearh!
I couldnt ask for more, biggest dream ever :)
I love love love her!

Warwick came by with my bike as well, I reckon the poor man misses me (I MISS HIM) <3

And then! 20min ago It knocked on my door while I was writing my blog!!!!
I went down and.... 3 SCARY retards stood in my door!
Yaya Halloween came to me lol
Hornestly I couldnt guess who it was... I was so so so clueless

It totally made my day hahaha I love Jack, Adam and Stephen <3
What a great ending of the day !!

Keenest shopper ever

Saturday 30th Oktober:

Last Monday Lyn from my rotary club invited me on a shopping trip to DFO, a massive outlet shopping center in Homebush !

So yesterday they picked my up at 9am (Lyn, Justine, and a friend of them)
Justine is Lyn's daughter, nicest girl ever (18yrs) going to Africa soon for some time, really exciting!
Anyway this was a REALLY girls trip! I bought so so so much stuff for under $200 shoes, dresses, t-shirts, shorts, everything. Was really keen that day and lucky as well, Justine and I clicked really well, nice having somebody to talk to on your own age. Lyn is lovely as well and Im really thankfull she invited me as well, just was i needed :)

I even though my body is in deep depression, it looks better now with all the cool clothes :D
-ready for summer!

When I came home mum and I went to the theatre (cinema) to watch the Social Network, a movie about Facebook it was quite interesting and I really like it.
The theatre as well which was in Richmond! It was very very small! the tickets half price of normal, very old style, a nice big screen but old music. and then after all the commercials the screen went black and I was like WHAT??!! haha it showed that they had a withdrawal of tonights ticket (something they do every time a movie is on) They pull a number of a ticket and the winner gets some kind of Voucher (or i think so) -at least there is a prize pretty cool aye?! I totally loved that place, it was a really girls night out -love on Bron for that :)

Nose-sharpener

Friday 29th Oktober:

School, School, School, WEEKEND! Keen as !
I went to Stephens house straight after school, watching a horrormovie, but as always I didnt really watch much of it ha ha (: -being in good company with Anita and Mary (of course Stephen just leaves me without telling me) but im getting used to it... lol

I love that family, so now I better explain the name of the contribution: Nose-sharpener
Mary got one of them
Stephen got one of them
Anita got one of them
and now...
I got one of them

The amazing nose-sharpener:

I'm so amazed by this piece of equipment haha! What an amazing joke <3 I love love love that family!

Penrith:  So in the evening Stephen, Rachael, Corey and I went to Penrith just chilling. And playing Aqua golf!! Funny as! You get into this cabin where you smash this golfball into the water. It is hilarious and think it is my 'meant to be' So had a good night, went to Mcdonalds afterwards and then back home :)
Especially Rachel is a funny one <3

Keep left, keep moving

So this is just a very very random part of my blog. It is not about anything special I have experienced, but about what just comes to my head.

Lately I've been taking some pretty unordinary photos as well. Look at these birds, they are called Cockatoos. This photo is taken on my school. It is massive birds, really beautiful and amazing. There are so many of them here, that the Aussie kids doesnt find them very interesting, but i must say that they keep impressing me!

Anyway the school is very different to the danish 'folkeskole' about 2 or 3 times bigger, and pretty random. Think It just had been raining when I took this photo, so it doesnt
look the best, anyhow that's how my school looks like (or some of it)

Lately I've had a lot of free periods because I droped Senior Science. They are actually ment to be study periods but to be hornest I dont study much, I have fun instead :)
But then it is good that Winmalee High School have some good students like Rayner, Sophie and Rachael! -Who actually use the study periods
(lol)Something I find funny on the school is the 'Hands off Policy' These posters is placed around the school but yearh nobody really cares. Through a day I hug several people etc. Hands off no thanks 'we like body contact' (lol) Intead Sophie Mackay and I try to do the hands off symbols! One off them is on the black photo beside. Great fun oh yearh. But never the less, not even the teachers are demanding us to  take our hands off, so i reckon it's all good. But there are these student who just cant take their hands off eachother e.g. Ben and Jesse (Jokes) But arent they cute aye?? Especially Ben, almost making this loveheart on the cheast of Jesse. Haha At the moment I'm having this thing with Jesse as well, that he has to teach me 1 new slang word each day!
Omg what I havent learn: G-banger, Abo, Mondi, Trackers etc. a shame that he starts to run out of words to teach me :)

On the school we have quite a few stairs as well. Several times a day hundres of students go up and down them at the same time. This causes a bit of chaos there fore we got this campaign at the school at the moment: 'keep left, keep moving' It is funny as! The juniors have been making this 'video' about it, and a dance as well, that was shown at assembly, i dont think people take it serious but who cares?? I reckon it is hilarious!

So today Sophie and I went to the office to hand 114 Vouchers from Coles to support sport at High schools! The Vouchers is so that the school can affort new sports equipment or so. You get 1 Voucher pr $10 you spend in Coles, pretty cool. -Good job Sophie <3

Assembly: Once a week where the whole school is gathered in the hall. You get different information about activities, see performances from other students, sing the national anthem etc. On our school it is on tuesdays and year 7-9 together and year 10-12 together at assembly. In danish it would be what we call : 'Morgen sang' but still quite different.

District 9690

http://www.rotary9690.org.au/Clubs/Springwood.asp#clubleadershipteam

Im quite impressed ! Really made me happy to read this on the website of rotary district 9690 :)
Thanks Richard Brymora, a true gentle man!

So far so good

It's now around 2 weeks since I moved family. I must say it is great. I miss my old family incredible much, but I can't say either that living with Bronwyn is worse, no way it is just as good. We are doing well together so far, and she is just an amazing woman.
School is great as well, heaps of friends and always on the move. I dropped Senior Science and changed Maths class (my favourite) so I reckon my subjects are perfect now, pdhpe is hard though, but at least my teacher is nice.
It is spring now. Normally that means some periods with nice and hot weather and some less & Windy. People here are complaining because of the weather. It is changing from one day to another, and it is impossible to choose the right clothes, especially for school e.g. monday it is around 27 degrees and really nice and you come to school with a scarf and jumper. There fore you decide to only wear a t-shirt on tuesday, but funny enough it is windy, raining and only around 15 degrees! How annoing aye? Anyway that's a part of nature ha ha
So I have'nt been up to much lately except of finding my way through a new life. I've been haning around on the street corner with my new 'roadmate' Khye and Jesse as well. I've been to the movies once again with Caique. Watching Steve playing Basket ball and just chilling with him. Been to Megan's 21st birthday! I tell you Stephen and I were the perfect couple haha! Me in Black dress + High heels and Him in suit hot hot ;) Danced all night and just had heaps of fun -me lovin

So yesterday 23-10-10 I went for a Horror movie night at Sophie Mackay's house with Caique & Alex! Funny as, I jumped several times cause i was frightened, i nearly had a heartattack. Haha but it was great fun. Afterwards Caique and I walked to JJ's house for a 'gathering' I was not keen at all, and felt awkward and rather bored. We had been walking for ages in rain (I only wore sandals, so my feet were wet) and yearh ... do I have to say more?? While walking I found this platic pig on the road, funny as so I brought it home as a memory... anyway Steve droped me home :) <3

Today I went to Elise's 17th Birthday BBQ. It rained all day, but surrounded by awesome people and food, I survived without any problems. I got a new name: Bertha (Elise and Caique named me)
Jordan learned how to pronounce my name and managed pretty well, sounded a bit like danish.
Caique and I tried to build a card house, but the annoing Jack x 2 and  Terry ruined it all the time lolz so gave up in the end!
And THEN i met Amy (Molly's sister) who went to Denmark on exchange 2 years ago as far as I remember... (maybe 1yr?)
She still remember how to speak danish and she's actually quite good! I was Impressed. So she offered Caique and I to do something one day, if we felt like it, which is really cool!

Beaches

Plans changed, suddenly Bronwyn's grandchild was given birth to! So the actual plan about going to Jenolan Caves changed.

Yesterday it became around 11.45pm before I got home from Megan's 21st birthday party. In the second I left the car I realized that I forgot my phone in Stephens pocket haha! So around 9am this morning the wonderfull guy he is, came by with it to me (;
And then Bronwyn drove Caique and I to Penrith, where we walked around for a couple of hours while she was visiting her new grandchild on the hospital. Afterwards she drove us to different beachens in Sydney eg. Palm Beach. It was like another world, it was like magic, so beautiful, so silent but still with the noise of the waves. The clean water and the nice weather, magic I tell you!

After spending the whole day driving around from beach to beach, we headed for home. Me and Caique were both exhausted so slept pretty much the whole way home in the car. Now I'm sitting here writing my blog, but can't get rid of the beautiful picture in my head of boats, beaches, sun, waves and the sounds.

Good friends in hard times

The last week have been pretty though for me. First of all school started again, second I have had some troubles with one of my teachers and third I moved to Bronwyn's yesterday (Friday 15th). A lot of things in a very short period of time. My mood have'nt been the best, but now Im on the track again happy as always (: Only because of good supportive friends and family, especially thanks to Warwick, Yvonne and Jean!

Now I'm sitting in my new massive room at Bronwyn's! Listening to music and reflecting over last week. So let's begin. The week started out really good, I found out that Kimberly is moving to same street as I next friday! So I wont be totally alone on my new street. We have been overexcited since we found out we were moving to the same place, which is good.

Monday 11th October: I had to my presentation about Denmark and myself in the rotaryclub. Never the less, a few hours before my presentation Yvonne recieved a phonecall. The chances that I could do my presentation was very small (that suited me well, cause I didnt feel ready for it, and had not even been practicing it one single time) So we all went to the rotary club. When I entered the door I got told: Julie you are on with your presentation tonight! Arghh Hurried home to get my rotary blazer and laptop! Getting more and more nervouse cause I was COMPLETELY unprepared. Anyway I stood up and did my presentation, and It actually turned out to be a success! It was funny, different and relaxed. I was so happy afterwards, everything went after the plan (even thoug i didnt have plan haha) People came over afterwards telling me that they were impressed and thought i've done a good job! It's so nice when people tell you that, you feel way more comfident.

School week: So school week yay! Seeing all my friends, was great but then Senior science. . . I still dont have a text book which means I cant summerise / do homework. Therefore my teacher kept me all recess summerising stuff I barely even understood. I got angry, really angry and sad. She said she expected me to finish it for tomorrow, but how? I dont have the book. Anyway it ruined my whole day. I dont blame my teacher because you have to do homework but I just think it went too far this time. I talked a lot with my hosties about it and Friday I didnt go to class, but went to see our year adviser instead. Telling him the situation. Normally this shouldnt be a problem i know, but I just got so sad felt like crying out loud. So now im getting signed out of class even though i should stay for 4 more weeks. so it's all good and im happy! My friends really helps me as well, when im feeling sad. I appreciate that.
This week I also started doing SQUASH instead of Tennis, funny as!! I love my SQUASH BUDDIES <3
Friday 15th Moving: And then yesterday I packed all my stuff after school. It took me 3hrs and my travelbag, schoolbag, handbag + 2 boxes and 4 plasticbag full of crap before I finished! When I arrived in Australia I only had my travel and school bag full! So I wonder how ill be able to get all my stuff home after 12months haah! I also got a few things from my family! Yvonne brought me the coolest summer hat for my bushwalk and Warwick and her gave me a painting made by an aboriginal girl, it is so cool but I wonder how to bring it home to Denmark haha! Yvonne also bought me wheat-bix and german bread just to make sure I wouldnt starve at my new home, how cute is that?? (: Jean also gave me a goodbye present, a little Kangaroo and a homemade card! Awww Im gonna miss them all even though I'll see them again, but it's just not the same. Anyway After dinner all 3 of them wrote on my massive danish flag, it'll be the memory ever!
So Warwick drove me to Bronwyn's around 8-9pm. Belinda (Bronwyn's daughter) and Bronwyn was there so we just sat talking for a while. Afterwards I began to pack all my stuff out again but exhausted as I was, I finished my unpacking this morning haha! Only thing I really need in my room Is a mirror though but it's all good, ill survive!!  (:

I would like to end this by showing Mary's amazing Pavelova that we ate in the holidays! (: MUMS <3

Holidays

To all my readers: SORRY
I have'nt had the time to update my blog for a while because of the school holidays (:
= Bussy catching up with friends.

To make it short I have basically been hanging out with Stephen, Caique, Andrew and Sophie<3 Seen some of my exchange friends as well, just doing random stuff!

Because of all the things I have been up to, I find it hard to remember it all but let's take a look:

Yvonne and Warwick's grandsons (Cameron and Noah) Stayed with us for around a week.

So did Kinsey (A Chineese girl studying in Australia and hosted by my host parents son) I went to Sydney with her and  some friends one of the days. That was the day when I got introduced to Breno, Caique's friend from Brazil. A funny day!! Because Breno had to catch a airplane back to Melbourne in the evening, he brought his massive bag to the city. Haha in the bus on our way to the airport I let 'accidently' his bag go... suddenly I started gliding through the whole bus. It was hilarious ;)

I've been to Taronga Zoo in Sydney as well with Warwick, Yvonne, Cameron, Noah + 2 small boys and their dad as well. It's a really nice scenery there I simply just loved it.. I became babysitter as well :P A little cute fellow was obssesed with me haha so I carried him around! Anyway a mix of different Photos taken through the holidays: Please Enjoy
The photos with me and Sophie was taken, when we went to Katoomba! It was raining and a very sad day, but we spend the whole day walking into second handshops trying hats, glasses etc. while taking photos! Funny as (:

btw. The giraffes in Taronga Zoo have the best view in whole sydney! Thats my conclusion hahah! People would pay millions to have a house there.

Me and my friend Jarrahmi (dont know how to spell the name) :0)

Goodbye Canberra

The last day in Canberra started out with a beautifull spring morning. Here the temperature doesnt get quite as high as in the mountains. Spring is around 6-27 degrees, and Im guessing today was around 12-14'.

Anyway we packed all our stuff in the car, and then went to  Floriade With Robyn. Phill went out on their farm, doing some work meanwhile. Floriade is this park like place with a lot of flowers, especially tulips, in all differnt colours, planted in different patterns. What I was supposed to look like eg. guitar, lollies etc. wasnt easy to guess, but as soon as you got up in the ferricewheel it was picture clear. Small shops was placed closely as well, and differnt performances was going on, the typical market music was playing.

A good atmosphere. We spent some time watching this irish man performing some kind of magic show, and afterwards we had coffee with this amazing view of flowers and a little lake. I dont think i've ever taken so many photos of flowers, but I must admit it was a beautifull sight. I always touch various creeps like a snake etc. disgusting but I won over my fear. Thank god! They aren't that bad really when you get used to then, but I must admit I didnt feel comtable either.

Later on we went to the car, ate our sandwiches and headed for Robyn & Phills farm.
A farm here in Australia isnt necessarily a place with a house and some barns! No way!! This farm  was in the mittle of nowhere. when we started to reach it the 'towns' changed style. It was like driving into another time period. Amazing really, and then the road changed into a massive dirtroad surrounded by fences with cattle, grass and grass and a bit more grass. Where they proberty started we met Phill. While the other drove in the car to the very small shield, I got a ride on the back of his old moterbike! Pretty cool. Jack was there as well, running in between of the car and the motorbike. He's a massive german shepard, a lovely dog. At their 'farm' we had a bit of tea/coffee while enjoying the spetacular view the just wouldnt end. Suddenly Phill came with his 4 wheel motorbike thing... and guess what?! I drove it myself. Very very proud, i've always been afraid of such things. but I did it all by myself ha ha.

After walking around, talking, watching trees, massive spiders, ants etc. we went to have a look on their cattle (Bulls without balls) they were around 1 year old, black angus, 48 in total. Such cuties. Yvonne was crazy about them haha what a country girl ;)

What a long day! Im so so so exhausted, and Im really looking forward to my own room (: But a lovely trip to Canberra it has been, and I really truely thankfull for Yvonne & Warwick to bring me, and Robyn & Phill for hosting us!!

Im guessing we'll be home around 9pm or so.. still a while to go! dreamland here I come :P
