The last day in Canberra started out with a beautifull spring morning. Here the temperature doesnt get quite as high as in the mountains. Spring is around 6-27 degrees, and Im guessing today was around 12-14'.
Anyway we packed all our stuff in the car, and then went to Floriade With Robyn. Phill went out on their farm, doing some work meanwhile. Floriade is this park like place with a lot of flowers, especially tulips, in all differnt colours, planted in different patterns. What I was supposed to look like eg. guitar, lollies etc. wasnt easy to guess, but as soon as you got up in the ferricewheel it was picture clear. Small shops was placed closely as well, and differnt performances was going on, the typical market music was playing.
A good atmosphere. We spent some time watching this irish man performing some kind of magic show, and afterwards we had coffee with this amazing view of flowers and a little lake. I dont think i've ever taken so many photos of flowers, but I must admit it was a beautifull sight. I always touch various creeps like a snake etc. disgusting but I won over my fear. Thank god! They aren't that bad really when you get used to then, but I must admit I didnt feel comtable either.
Later on we went to the car, ate our sandwiches and headed for Robyn & Phills farm.
A farm here in Australia isnt necessarily a place with a house and some barns! No way!! This farm was in the mittle of nowhere. when we started to reach it the 'towns' changed style. It was like driving into another time period. Amazing really, and then the road changed into a massive dirtroad surrounded by fences with cattle, grass and grass and a bit more grass. Where they proberty started we met Phill. While the other drove in the car to the very small shield, I got a ride on the back of his old moterbike! Pretty cool. Jack was there as well, running in between of the car and the motorbike. He's a massive german shepard, a lovely dog. At their 'farm' we had a bit of tea/coffee while enjoying the spetacular view the just wouldnt end. Suddenly Phill came with his 4 wheel motorbike thing... and guess what?! I drove it myself. Very very proud, i've always been afraid of such things. but I did it all by myself ha ha.
